Dwelling Insurance

Dwelling insurance is designed to protect a secondary home, such as a rental (non-owner occcupied property), vacation, or seasonally occupied home from any property damage that may happen from fire or other sudden occurrences. The homeowner must purchase dwelling insurance if someone other than the owner occupies it so that, should any damage or loss occur, the home will be insured. The DP-3 policy is designed for non-owner occupied rental properties covering 1-4 family homes or condos.

Dwelling insurance includes coverage for your home, which includes screened enclosures and other physical structures, its contents, personal liability, and provides various deductibles. Additional coverage with optional endorsements may include personal property replacement cost, loss assessment coverage, theft coverage, ordinance or law coverage, various payment plans, and discounts such as Secured Community/Building Credit, Protective Devices Credit, and Senior Discounts. There are exemptions when the property is unoccupied or vacant putting your property at risk for damage.
